Microsoft windows 2012 R2 installation

In this post i will demonstrate installation of windows 2012 R2 with VMware workstation.

Installation steps:

Go to VMware workstation click file - new virtual machine

Browse Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 ISO or use DVD

Choose VM name and location

Select the size and click next

Confirm the config and click finish

Choose required OS and click next

Accept the license and click next

Select custom Install and click next

Select partition and click next

Windows installation completed. Rebooting

Enter new password and click finish

Installation completed. Important!   Install vmware tools

Double click on vmware tools disk

Vmware tool installation started

Click next

Click yes to restart server
